General Information

Niagara Regional Literacy Council is located at the Via Rail train station in west St. Catharines.

We do suggest that you call prior to visiting the office as we are sometimes at meetings or workshops.

We have a full resource library that our tutors and students have full use of and books can be borrowed for an indefinite time period.

NRLC is partly funded by:  the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities; bingo sessions (City of St. Catharines) and from private donations.

Donations in cash or in kind are greatly appreciated.  Income tax receipts are issued for all donations.

Our fiscal year is April 1st to March 31st .

We have many benefactors who help us make our work possible.

We are always looking for volunteers  to help us. Areas needed include:

  • Tutors - for one-on-one tutoring

  • Board of Directors - meetings are held once a month and last approximately 2 hours

  • Committee Members

  • Bingo (fund raising) - one Sunday morning from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm every 3 months

  • Office - to assist with general office duties

For further information on assisting NRLC contact Chris
