Basic Laubach Way to Reading	This is an introduction to tutoring and to the method of teaching that we use here at NRLC. It is a 14 hour workshop run over five afternoons or five evenings. There is a one time charge of $25.00 which covers your first years membership with NRLC, membership with our parent organizations (Laubach Literacy of Ontario/Canada), all materials needed throughout tutoring, workshop materials, continual newsletters and workshop refreshments. Once you have completed the workshop, you will be matched with an adult student who meets the requirements on your data sheet; i.e. times available, geographic location, smoker vs. non smoker, etc. If you live in the St. Catharines, Welland, or Niagara Falls areas and are interested in becoming a tutor, contact Ingrid. Membership fees are $10.00 per year.
	Next Basic Tutor Workshop Session: September 29, October 1, 6, and 8, 2008 Times: 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The workshop is held at NRLC offices and attendance at all sessions is mandatory. Call now for further information or to register. Seats fill up quickly.
Supplemental Workshops	Learning Disabilities coming soon

Computer	Internet and E-Mail classes for tutors. Call to set up an appointment. We also offer one-on-one computer instruction.

Tutor Development Sessions	These workshops are usually 2 to 3 hours in length and cover a variety of subjects that could assist you with your tutoring sessions, or be of a general interest to you. There is no charge for the supplemental workshops.

Meet and Greet with Ingrid	A general discussion group for tutors, to discuss problems, concerns or to share ideas. A casual get together with lots of refreshments and lots of fun.
